During a short vacation in the Langhe region in Piemonte, where you can find some of the greatest wines, I had a chat with Gianni. Gianni is from La Morra and producing Barolo, Barbera d’Alba and a few others. Gianni was very concerned about the condition of the grapes because of the very dry soil and the high temperatures this summer. He was feeling the real pain of the grapes. He never expressed a concern of selling fewer cases, or lower margins etc. We are 3th generation wine growers and we must focus on today’s climate and anticipate changes for next few decades therefore my wine ingredients (the grapes) must be better prepared and protected.
Gianni’s
values are clear: provide the best possible care for his grapes, transforming
his winery into a full bio-dynamic one and planning the succession from father
to his daughter Cecilia, she is the 4th generation! Family Values =
