CREATING YOUR OWN PERSONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS (WHAT & HOW)

In business there are rarely limits on resources to define a strategy for your company. In personal life almost all is done by yourself, or at best with ad-hoc support from peers, friends, a coach or mentor, often resulting in doubt and lack of precision in making career choices. A group of INSEAD Alumni started the journey to create their own Personal Board of Directors, or in other words a team of advisors counseling you as a CEO of your own life. In co-development mode (virtual and in-person workshops) we worked together on the “What and How” of your Personal Board of Directors along a clear methodology. A Personal Board of Directors focuses on the longer term career strategic direction and performance of a person.
 
The first edition of the Personal Board of Directors program finished mid-December at the office of the INSEAD Alumni Association in Paris. A few characteristics of how the group worked together: open mind, sharing aspirations, challenging, camaraderie, listening, caring for team mates, respect for each, result driven driving to conclusions and takeaways.

We are planning new sessions with INSEAD's Alumni Association France and with INSEAD's Global Career Development Center.
